Crock Pot Roast Beef Method

  • Step 1: First, pour yourself a glass of wine. Remember to save at least one cup. Sip that, then Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large frying pan. Put the roast beef in a bowl, sprinkle with the flour and seasoning, and fry, turning over to brown, adding more oil if necessary, until everything is well browned. Transfer to a crock pot. Or, if you are tipsy, just put the roast in the pot.
  • Step 2: Add in the onion, carrots, and minced garlic (how much is up to you) in the crock pot. Pour the wine over the meat. Add the stock, bay leaves, and thyme, and put the crock pot on for 4 to 6 hours until the meat is very tender. If the sauce looks thin, you can remove the lid and continue to cook until it thickens. Serve with the rest of the wine or get a fresh bottle. You may want to share with your family. Enjoy.
